Pittsburgh Pride

We’re pleased to announce that Academy Award and two-time Grammy winner Melissa Etheridge will be our 2012 Pride in the Street headliner!  Melissa will be performing a 90 minute concert with a full band on Liberty Avenue on Saturday, June 9.  We are thrilled that Pittsburgh Pride will be Melissa’s first ever Pride event!

Our opening DJ at Pride in the Street is Dave Sanchez a.k.a. 7up.  For longer than many can remember, the name 7up has been synonymous with the house scene dropping his unique mixing style at thousands of events and every major nightclub in Pittsburgh and major cities around the country.  Dave has played a role in representing a vibe of the city with a new generation of people from all over making Pittsburgh their home, and with that bringing a global love of house music.

Following Melissa Etheridge, legendary DJ Tracy Young will spin her amazing tracks.  A global electronic music celebrity in demand at nightclubs around the world and a breakout name on the Billboard charts, Tracy is well-known for her 13 Madonna remixes and imaginative electronic reinventions of songs by Christina Aguilera, Shakira, and Enrique Iglesias, just to name a few.
