You have questions. We (try our best to) have answers. The following questions and answers are compiled from previous festivals. We’re providing these as “guides” to help you with your Pittsburgh Pride experience, but all policies are subject to change. Please check back regularly for any updates.

What is the date and time of the 2019 Equality March?
The 2019 Equality March will take place on Sunday, June 9 at 12:30 PM.
What is the Equality March route and how long is it?
The March route is just under 1 mile long. The march will begin on Boulevard of the Allies at Grant Street, make a left on Grant Street, make a left on Fifth Avenue, then a right on Liberty Avenue.
Can individuals participate in the Equality March?
Of course! You are welcome to march with any group or organization or contact us here if you’d be interested in helping to carry our 20’x30′ Rainbow Flag, the Trans flag, the Leather flag, the Bisexual flag, or the Equality March lead banner.
How many people are we allowed to have march in our contingent?
There is no limitation. The more the merrier!
What are the height and width restrictions for floats and vehicles?
The height of floats and vehicles cannot exceed 13’ 6” and width cannot exceed 12′.
Can we decorate our float?
All floats must be decorated before arrival. Last minute assembly is permitted prior to the event. The display of logos, slogans, trademarks of any business other than the business listed on your application is strictly prohibited.
What are we allowed to hand out along the March route?
To ensure the safety of the participants and to limit the amount of litter, the throwing of items (e.g., confetti, beads, coupons, etc.) is prohibited. Any additional fees incurred by the Foundation from the City of Pittsburgh will be passed on to the participant.
When will we receive the March line-up?
Approximately 1 week before the march, we will email you a map indicating your March placement. There will be increased security measures in place for vehicles that will be accessing the Equality March staging area.
How will our participation be promoted?
All PrideFest vendors who complete their registration before April 1, 2019 will be listed in the Pittsburgh Pride magazine and listed on the pittsburghpride.org website.
We ask that you like the Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh Facebook page and RSVP on the PrideFest event page to let people know that you will be there!
What if there is inclement weather?
The Equality March will take place rain or shine! We will post information on Facebook and will send emails to registered vendors if there are any weather concerns. The safety of our attendees are our top priority. Weather will be monitored throughout the weekend by our public safety partners.
What is the deadline for Equality March registration?
Registration is available up until June 1 or until spots are sold out.
Can I pay for my registration with a check instead of a credit card?
Our registration is handled by a third party vendor who requires payment be made with a credit card.
What is your refund policy?
Unfortunately we do not offer refunds under any circumstance.

What’s the closest airport to Pittsburgh Pride?
Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is approximately 20 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.
What is the closest hotel lodging?
There are several hotels within walking distance of the festival including the Westin Convention Center, Courtyard by Marriot on Penn Avenue, Kimpton Hotel Monaco, Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel, Omni William Penn Hotel, and the Drury Hotel.
What about security?
The City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police is responsible for enforcing all applicable state and local laws during the Pride Events. Such laws include, but are not limited to public decency, alcohol, controlled substances, public safety, and standard vehicle registration and insurance requirements.
