PRIDEFEST VENDOR FAQs
You have questions. We (try our best to) have answers. The following questions and answers are compiled from previous festivals. We’re providing these as “guides” to help you with your Pittsburgh Pride experience, but all policies are subject to change. Please check back regularly for any updates.
Pittsburgh PrideFest 2019 takes place Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9 on Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh (between 6th & 10th Street).
The Equality March takes place on Sunday, June 9, 2019.
What are the dates and times of PrideFest?
PrideFest 2019 takes place Saturday, June 8 from Noon-5 pm and Sunday, June 9 from 1-7 PM on Liberty Avenue in downtow Pittsburgh between 6th & 10th Street.
Does my registration include both days?
Yes, your PrideFest registration includes both Saturday and Sunday.
How much is registration?
There are registration rates for non-profit organizations, local businesses, and corporations. Registration for 2019 Pittsburgh PrideFest will be open in the Fall.
What does my registration include?
Your registration includes a 10’x10’ space, one six-foot table, two chairs, one tent, and your insurance (required by the City of Pittsburgh). If you need additional space, you can register for multiple spaces. You can bring your own tent but it must fit within the space that you have rented and it must also be secured with 40 pounds of weight per leg as required by the City of Pittsburgh. No structure may exceed 15’ in height without prior approval.
You may bring additional tables or chairs if needed as no additional tables and chairs are available for rent.
Can I register for just one day?
You cannot register for a single day. Vendors who do not show up on Saturday will be considered a “no show” and their space may be forfeited.
When is load-in/load-out?
Pre-event load in, as well as post-event break down, will be conducted as efficiently and safely as possible. Assigned load in and break down timing and instructions will be emailed to you prior to the festival.
Will overnight security be available?
Vendors are responsible for securing all valuables. The Pittsburgh Police and Landmark Event Staffing will be on site Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Is electricity available?
Electricity will be provided to only those vendors who requested it with their vendor application. Each vendor is responsible for providing their own cords and hook-ups.
Is water available?
Running water is not provided on site. Please provide your own source of potable water.
How will our participation be promoted?
All PrideFest vendors who complete their registration before April 1, 2019 will be listed in the Pittsburgh Pride magazine and listed on the pittsburghpride.org website.
We ask that you like the Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh Facebook page and RSVP on the PrideFest event page to let people know that you will be there!
What if there is inclement weather?
PrideFest will take place rain or shine! We will post information on Facebook and will send emails to registered vendors if there are any weather concerns. The safety of our vendors and attendees and volunteers are our top priority. Weather will be monitored throughout the weekend by our public safety partners.
What is the deadline for PrideFest vendor registration?
Registration is available up until June 1 or when spots are sold out.
Can I pay for my booth space with a check instead of a credit card?
Our registration is handled by a third party vendor who requires payment be made with a credit card. The agreement and application is your receipt. Full payment is due at the time of registration and all required paperwork must be received to be considered complete.
What is your refund policy?
Unfortunately we do not offer refunds under any circumstance.
What accommodations do you provide for deaf or hard of hearing individuals?
We ask all vendors to use posters, banners, brochures or signs to indicate prices, sizes and information about your organization.
When will we receive notification about our vendor space assignment?
Assigned load in and break down timing and vendor instructions will be emailed to you approximately 1 week prior to the festival.
There will be increased security measures in place for vehicles that will be accessing the PrideFest festival area.
Where should we park?
Parking is available in the 9th & Liberty parking garage (accessible via Smithfield Street), the Transportation Center on Grant Street, and at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
What’s the closest airport to Pittsburgh Pride?
Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is approximately 20 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.
What is the closest hotel lodging?
There are several hotels within walking distance of the festival including the Westin Convention Center, Courtyard by Marriot on Penn Avenue, Kimpton Hotel Monaco, Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel, Omni William Penn Hotel, and the Drury Hotel.
